All change for the U13 team today, lots of players unavailable and fortunately for us, lots of players stepped in to still give us a full team of 11 players. Alice and Sian helped us out at very short notice, and Charlotte played for the very first time.
The game started well, we played good football; Rachel had a good run and then shortly after Lucy intercepted the ball and ran on to finish well to give Neatherd a 1-0 lead. Laura had a great run down the right wing then a great passing move from Bethany, Lucy, Rachel and Ashleigh resulted in a chance for Rachel....which was deemed off side!
In goal Sian made a couple of great saves from good efforts from KES. Our opposition were playing some good football, but forunately of defence was again superb. Sophie and Paige intercepted everything through the middle, and Lisa and Bethany at full backs were also playing really well.
Ashleigh had a good shot well saved, then it was half time, just time for a quick photo and then back on for the second half.
Laura again was running well up front, and then Charlotte won the ball, played in Laura who passed on to Lucy who ran on well to finish low into the corner. Charlotte was winning lots of headers, Alice was tackling well, Sian made another couple of good saves and Lucy saw a chance of a hatrick fly just over the bar. Just before the final whistle KES scored an equalising goal.
