The Tournament had six teams, two teams from each of the three schools, Northgate, Neatherd and Reepha. Each team player each other, so had five games.
Neatherd A
The team started slowly, going 1-0 down to a shot that crept through the keepers legs. But fortunately Rianna scored to earn Neatherd a draw against Northgate Orange.
Game Two was against the other Northgate team, Lucy and Rianna scored to give us a 2-0 win. Then the Neatherd teams played each other, Neatherd A were 1-0 winners with a lucky goal from a Rianna corner.
Neatherd A went on to beat both Reepham teams 1-0 to mean they were unbeaten and winners of the tounament. Sophie and Leah are just awesome at the back, nothing gets past them. Lucy and Rachel are great in goal and out, and fortunately Rianna always scores a goal!
Neatherd B
The team started really well, but unfortunately Lost to Reepham A and Neatherd A, both games 1-0. This didn't do the team justice as we were playing really good football. Next was a 2-0 loss to Reepham B. Then things got much better. A 1-1 draw with Northgate Orange and 0-0 draw with Northgate White.
This was the first time most of this team had played in such a tournament, and they did exceptionally well. Led by Paige the team made some great passes between Laura, Alice and Hannah. Lisa was great at the back, as was Sharn in goal...really brave and quick off her line.
Well Done to all the girls who played, don't forget training Wednesday's. We will play an indoor 4-a-side tournament after half term sometime.
